Paul Garro

Partner & Strategic Advisor


Paul is a mission-driven educator and civic leader whose career spans classroom teaching, Catholic school leadership, nonprofit impact, and public service. He has served as a teacher, high school principal, and district Director for School Improvement (PreK–12) in San Antonio, and led specialized programs for multi-handicapped and medically fragile students. In Catholic education and community impact, Paul has held senior roles including Executive Director of City Year San Antonio, President of Central Catholic High School, and Vice President of Global Business Development at Vascular Perfusion Solutions. He currently serves as Chief Development Officer and Director of External Relations for the Discalced Carmelite Province of St. Thérèse of Lisieux. In 2024, he was elected Mayor of Grey Forest, Texas.

A champion of the Collective Impact model, Paul helped catalyze Excel Beyond the Bell San Antonio, the San Antonio College Access Network, and Promise Neighborhoods initiatives—advancing cradle-to-career outcomes for underserved communities. His service includes leadership with Rotary (Immediate Past-President, San Antonio), The Stay Strong Foundation, and the St. Mary’s University Greehey School of Business Forum on Entrepreneurship, among others.

Paul’s recognitions include multiple Teacher of the Year honors, Rotary’s Service-Above-Self and Rotarian-of-the-Year awards, Morgan’s Heart of Gold, and Texas A&M’s Transformational Leader Award. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from St. Mary’s University and an M.Ed. from Trinity University. Paul and his wife, Erin, live in Grey Forest, TX.
