Michael Khoury
Partner & Strategic Advisor
Michael Khoury is a mission-centered leader with a distinguished record of advancing Catholic education and expanding opportunities for underserved students. As the founding President of Detroit Cristo Rey High School (2008–2021), he guided the school from its opening into a thriving institution of 340 students. Under his leadership, Detroit Cristo Rey achieved a 100% college acceptance rate, with graduates completing degrees at two to three times the national average for students of similar backgrounds. His influence extended nationally through his service as a Board Member for the Cristo Rey Network and his support of other Cristo Rey schools, including Holy Family Cristo Rey.
In addition to his work with ACELA, Michael continues to contribute to CareerSpring as Regional Program Manager, partnering with schools, businesses, and community organizations to expand career pathways for first-generation and low-income students. In this role, he helps connect young people to mentors, internships, and professional networks that prepare them for higher education and meaningful careers.
Earlier in his career, Michael developed extensive financial and operational expertise as Division Sales Manager and Controller at Avery Dennison, Division Sales Manager at Owens Corning, and Plant Controller at Pilkington Glass. He has also served on the boards of De La Salle Collegiate High School, Walsh Jesuit High School, and Marian High School, and as Board Chair of St. Joseph’s Helpers. A first-generation college student, he holds a B.S.B.A. in Finance from the University of Akron and an M.B.A. in Finance from Indiana University.
