James McCann
Partner, Leadership Recruitment & Engagement
James McCann supports ACELA’s leadership search efforts as a leadership recruiter and engagement specialist, working alongside search consultants who lead each engagement. His focus is on executive and senior operational roles across mission-driven organizations, where he engages candidates, builds talent pipelines, and supports early outreach and inquiry conversations to ensure appropriate alignment and follow-up.
James brings nearly a decade of experience in fact-finding and due diligence from Dun & Bradstreet, where he vetted individuals and organizations, identified risk, and translated complex information into decision-support insight. He also brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in national roles within the wireless industry, including with AT&T and T-Mobile, where he led large teams, supported senior leaders, and built disciplined recruiting and succession pipelines across diverse markets.
At ACELA, James contributes to search efforts by strengthening front-end engagement, supporting candidate outreach and vetting, and helping ensure search consultants are well-supported as leadership needs and opportunities take shape. His work is grounded in collaboration, listening first, and respect for the mission and context of the organizations ACELA serves.
