Dr. Regina Haney

Dr. Regina Haney is a nationally respected Catholic education leader, executive coach, and strategic planning consultant with decades of experience strengthening Catholic schools, diocesan systems, and mission-driven organizations. Recognized for her expertise in governance, leadership development, and organizational transformation, Regina has dedicated her career to helping Catholic institutions align mission, strategy, and effective leadership to ensure long-term vitality.
Regina served for 20 years as Executive Director of the Department of Boards and Councils at the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA), where she helped shape governance practices and board development nationwide. Previously, she served nine years as Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Raleigh, North Carolina. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of the National Association of Church Personnel Administrators (NACPA), advancing leadership development and human resources practices throughout the Church.
An accomplished facilitator, author, and trusted adviser, Regina has guided hundreds of Catholic school boards, bishops, superintendents, pastors, and educational leaders through strategic planning, governance restructuring, leadership transitions, and organizational change. She has led strategic planning initiatives for more than 20 schools and helped establish a national virtual board development series that has served more than 200 Catholic school boards.
Regina holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and a master's degree from the University of Delaware. She has authored numerous publications on Catholic school governance and received national recognition for her distinguished service to Catholic education.
