About the Role
The Superintendent of Catholic Schools serves as the chief architect and steward of Catholic education within the diocese—championing a bold vision rooted in Gospel values, academic excellence, and operational vitality. As Superintendent, you will guide and support pastors, principals, and school leaders across the region, ensuring that Catholic schools remain accessible, sustainable, and faithful to their mission. You will lead system-wide initiatives to strengthen academics, promote vibrant Catholic identity, build leadership capacity, and grow enrollment. You will also be responsible for engaging a broad base of stakeholders—energizing and aligning efforts to sustain and elevate Catholic education for generations to come.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the spiritual and strategic leader for all Catholic schools across the diocese.
- Advance a vision of Catholic education that is academically excellent, financially sound, and accessible to all families who seek it.
- Oversee academic quality, principal leadership, Catholic formation, and operational performance across all schools.
- Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and professional development to school principals.
- Promote operational vitality by supporting schools in enrollment growth, marketing strategies, advancement efforts, and fiscal planning.
- Collaborate with pastors, parish leaders, the Bishop, and diocesan offices on policies, funding models, governance, and mission alignment.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to address current realities and future opportunities.
- Engage with families, donors, and community leaders to build confidence, visibility, and investment in Catholic schools.
- Represent the diocesan school system at the local, regional, and national level with clarity, conviction, and hope.

You bring:
- Deep commitment to the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church
- A proven record of success in Catholic or faith-based educational leadership, either as a principal, regional leader, or central office executive
- Strong background in academic oversight, operational leadership, and team development
- Experience navigating complex systems and aligning diverse stakeholders toward a shared vision
- Strategic foresight and entrepreneurial spirit—willing to explore new models of access, funding, and growth
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to inspire trust, build relationships, and lead with integrity
- A balance of pastoral presence and executive acumen
Qualifications
- Practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church
- Master’s degree required; Doctorate preferred (Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field)
- Minimum of 7–10 years in school or system-level leadership
- Familiarity with governance, advancement, accreditation, and Catholic identity formation
