🧭 Enrollment Role Overview

The Director of Enrollment Management leads mission-centered recruitment, retention, and enrollment strategy for a Catholic school. This role is responsible for advancing the school’s visibility, cultivating relationships with prospective families, analyzing enrollment data, and building sustainable systems that reflect the school’s identity and goals.

More than a marketer, the Director of Enrollment is a storyteller, strategist, and school ambassador, helping families discover the transformative gift of Catholic education.

  • Lead recruitment, admissions, and retention strategies aligned to the school’s mission
  • Manage the inquiry-to-enrollment pipeline with efficiency and personalization
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to position the school’s value proposition

  • Build relationships with prospective families, feeder schools, parishes, and community partners
  • Analyze data to inform forecasting, conversion rates, and retention planning
  • Support faculty, staff, and parent ambassadors in enrollment efforts

Successful Directors of Enrollment come from many paths—marketing, admissions, communications, community outreach—but they share these core traits:

  • A collaborative spirit, able to work across departments and with school leadership

🎓 Typical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; marketing, communications, education, or business background preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in enrollment management, admissions, marketing, or external affairs
  • Strong writing, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, digital tools, and data analysis platforms
  • Practicing Catholic with a passion for Catholic education (preferred)
  • Understanding of school culture, parent engagement, and Catholic school structure
